The Library of Digital Measurement Products

The Library of Digital Measurement Products is an interactive, searchable database cataloging sensor-based digital health technologies, high-quality digital clinical measures, and measurement tools.

Validated digital health tools, like those in this living library, enable superior monitoring of disease in real-world settings, generating valuable insights into disease progression and treatment responses. This data streamlines evidence, supports the efficacy of new treatments, accelerates research and development, and ensures clinicians, developers, and researchers can identify high-quality digital clinical measures and tools.

Recently enhanced with a new, user-friendly interface and an intuitive user journey, the library currently features meaningful concepts of physical activity (PA), sleep, Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD), and Parkinson’s disease (PD).

“[This work] centralizes information to minimize redundant work being done by different groups to evaluate the landscape, facilitates identification of gaps vs. saturation areas to inform novel measure development efforts, and incentivizes pre-competitive data sharing by tool developers to accelerate field-wide advances.”

Similar to DATAcc by DiMe’s Library of Digital Endpoints, the Library of Digital Measurement Products will be maintained over time as the industry’s premier open-access resource of available options for measurement.

Reviews

“The digital biomarker space in general is advancing very rapidly, which is great news for patients and researchers. As a researcher, I’ve had trouble in both finding CNS-relevant digital tools, and in determining how well developed and validated they are. Many companies that provide tools like this don’t share validation evidence in a single place – it’s often scattered across papers, posters, press releases, clinicaltrials.gov – or just not available online. I’ve done plenty of manual literature reviews over the years to aggregate this information, but it’s a very time-consuming process, and the output quickly goes out of date. The DiMe digital measurement products library provides a centralized, unified platform for this material, which will make digital biomarker selection much easier – hopefully leading to accelerated development of treatments for patients.

Cumulus Neuroscience being represented in the library is a big benefit for us. It increases the visibility of resources about our products, most especially validation evidence, which potential customers frequently ask us to provide. Hopefully, our presence in the library will lead to positive knock-on effects in terms of inbound interest, baseline level of conversance, and speed of decision turnaround.”

-John Dyer, Principal Scientist, Cumulus Neuroscience

“This incredible initiative sets out to provide a landscape overview of the field of DHT’s in Parkinson’s disease, something that is very much needed. The library can be used to inform on which technologies and metrics have been validated, are sufficiently ready and the population they were tested on. This can help researchers and clinicians make informed decisions on finding the right technology, right methods, and right measures for future studies.”

“As a leader in the development of wearable technology for health monitoring, Empatica is honored to be included in the DiMe Digital Measurement Products Library. This recognition underscores our commitment to advancing the field of digital health through rigorous scientific validation and innovative solutions. Being part of this prestigious library not only enhances our credibility but also facilitates broader adoption and integration of our technologies in clinical and research settings. It enables healthcare professionals and researchers to access validated digital measures, ultimately improving patient outcomes and driving the future of personalized medicine.”

“I’m delighted that my company’s product, StepWatch, is part of the Library of Digital Measurement Products so people can more easily learn what we do well. With 100s of devices available, it is critical to know the scientific evidence around claims. For example, when a device claims to be accurate at measuring slow walking, what is slow walking? Because this Library references the scientific literature, you can more quickly learn if a device might meet your needs.”

-Teri Rosenbaum-Chou, Ph.D., Chief Executive Officer, Modus Health

“We are proud to collaborate with DiMe and contribute to their research efforts. Being an active part in building the Library of Digital Measurement Products and communicating the result with the broader scientific community through a peer-reviewed publication enhances the visibility of our efforts in advancing Alzheimer’s disease through precision diagnostics. This is crucial to Altoida’s mission of early cognitive and functional detection, ultimately bringing us closer to facilitate early and more effective diagnostics for neurodegenerative conditions.”

-Emmanuel Streel, Senior Director of Medical Affairs, Altoida, Inc.

      Our collaborators

Parkinson’s disease (PD) is a complex, multifaceted disease requiring innovative solutions to accelerate the evaluation of treatments aimed at slowing, halting, or reversing its progression. DATAcc by DiMe has been honored to partner with The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research and the Critical Path Institute’s Critical Path for Parkinson’s consortium to integrate digital solutions supporting PD research and care into DATAcc’s Library of Digital Measurement Products.

This collaboration demonstrates the power of pooling resources, sharing data, and working together toward a common goal: helping patients. By collaborating, we are speeding the pace of discovery and ensuring that new technologies and treatments are developed efficiently and in a patient-centered manner, ultimately improving lives across various therapeutic areas.

The Library of Digital Measurement Products is a dynamic, living resource that continually expands into new therapeutic areas. If you would like to collaborate with us to contribute and enhance this growing, open-access resource, please reach out!
